The exhibition ‘Colourful Encounters: Toucans and other Ecuadorian Birds’ by John Gould has opened at Henry Southeran Ltd, London until 30th July.

The antiquarian book shop Henry Sotheran’s on Sackville Street, Piccadilly, London, has opened the exhibition Colourful Encounters: Toucans and other Ecuadorian Birds by John Gould (1804-1881). 80 original hand-coloured lithographs of toucans are on display as well as images of other beautiful South American birds including hummingbirds and trogons.

Taking place in the Antique Print Department, the exhibition runs until 30 July.  The full catalogue can be viewed on Sotheran’s website.
